Photography is the perfect microscope to investigate architecture, historic preservation, sustainability, and urban design.  Rochester, where most of the following subjects are located, offers a glimpse into current urban planning trends in the hopes of generating thought and conversation about why some of these subjects are in their current state.  It also offers a glimpse into recent changes and how things have progressed from the early 2000s to the present day.  Rochester, like many cities across the country, has a rich history that not only needs to be preserved, but built upon and cherished and used as a learning tool to solve modern challenges such as transportation and urban renewal.
